CSKA Moscow forward Ahmed Musa said newly born girl gave him the luck to score a brace on Wednesday to qualify his Russian club to the UEFA Champions League playoffs.
On Wednesday (Aug 5), CSKA beat hosts Sparta Prague 3-2 to advance in the Champions League playoffs 5-4 on aggregate with Ahmed Musa scoring twice in Prague.
His brace was scored just hours after his wife gave birth to baby girl in Moscow.
"I am happy with the goals and victory. It was a hard earned victory. I dedicate the goals to my wife and daughter. They brought me joy and good luck in the game," the Nigerian international told AfricanFootball.com
CSKA will know their playoff foes on Friday when the draw will be staged.
