If the word from British media reports is anything to go by, Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah could join Roma as talks are nearing the end.
According to the Daily Mail, Salah's future could be finalised as the last season's English Premier League champions are in talks with the Serie A giants over a loan deal.
This comes after the 23-year-old turned down an offer to stay with Fiorentina in Italy opting to return to the Blues for the pre-season, however, coach Jose Mourinho was quoted saying Salah's future is elsewhere.
However, the report suggests that the Egyptian winger had agreed to join the Serie A side at the weekend but the clubs have discussed a £1.4million loan fee with a buy-out figure of £16m.
During the current transfer window period, Salah has been at the centre of a transfer tussle involving Fiorentina, where he spent the second half of last season, and Inter Milan for much of the summer.
The Pharaohs man impressed during his time in Serie A, scoring nine goals for the Italian outfit in his past six months.
Meanwhile, Roma are set to win the race for the pacey wideman with Mourinho deeming him surplus to requirements this season.
