Nigeria champions Kano Pillars Okey Emordi has been sacked, according to the club.
In a statement made available to AfricanFootball.com and signed by Pillars spokesman Idris Malikawa, the new Pillars board headed by Kabiru Baita approved Emordi's dismissal.
The statement further disclosed that a way forward for the club will be charted on Tuesday (21, July 2015)
Pillars are ninth on the table with 27 points, nine points behind leaders Sunshine Stars and Enyimba.
Both players and fans have passed a vote of no confidence in Emordi, who led them to win a third straight league championship last season.
And only recently he had to be spirited away from an angry mob when Pillars were sent packing by lower league side Plateau United in the Federation Cup.
Pillars under the experienced former Rangers and Enyimba coach failed to go past the first round of this year's CAF Champions League.
Experienced football administrator Kabiru Baita was on Sunday (19, July 2015) named head of the new Kano Pillars board.
Baita was at a time co-ordinator of the home-based Super Eagles.
